Reinvent & Renew

Life After 60: Creating What's Possible

Change can be small or significant.

Sometimes we choose it. Sometimes it arrives without asking. It may be a new interest, a different routine, a return to study, a new project, moving house, moving country, starting a business, rebuilding after bereavement or divorce, or simply recognising that the life you have been living no longer fits in quite the same way.

Reinvent & Renew is the practical workbook for the Reinvent & Renew path within the Living Life Well Model. It helps you understand what is changing, consider what it may affect, and create a practical way forward, whether you are exploring possibilities or already know what you want to do.

There is no prescribed timeline and no single right way. Just clear guidance for your own journey of reinvention or renewal.

This workbook is for you

Change has already happened.

A role, relationship, home, financial situation or stage of life has shifted, and you are working out what comes next.

You are choosing a change of your own.

You may be considering a move, sabbatical, new project, study, business, enterprise or another direction that could reshape everyday life.

You know something needs to be different.

The old way no longer fits, even if you cannot yet see exactly what should replace it.

You know where you want to go, but not how to get there.

You have a clear idea of the change you want, but would benefit from a practical way to move through it step by step.

You want to understand the wider impact.

You may already have a plan, but want to think through how the change could affect other parts of life along the way.

You want a method that can flex with you.

You are looking for guidance that helps you move forward without forcing you into someone else's timetable or definition of success.

Understand

Look at what is shifting, what may need to be left behind, what you want to carry forward, and what may need to be rebuilt.

Explore

Consider different directions without assuming that the first idea has to become the final answer.

Create

Work at the scale the change requires, from small experiments that test an idea to longer-term projects that help you build something new.

“There is no prescribed timeline and no right way to move through the workbook. You can work with it in the way that best fits your circumstances, your pace and the change you are making.”

Change can be chosen or it can arrive

Some reinvention begins with curiosity. Some begins because circumstances have changed.

Both belong here.

Pulse Projects & Movement Projects

Pulse Project

A short experiment to test a possibility.

Use it when you want to try an idea before making a bigger commitment.

Examples: a new routine, a short course, testing a business idea, spending time somewhere different.

Try it. Notice what happens. Decide what deserves more.

Movement Project

A longer-term project for substantial change.

Use it when the change needs planning, adjustment and continued attention.

Examples: moving house or country, starting a business, returning to study, rebuilding after bereavement or divorce.

You do not need to know every step before you begin.

What you'll find inside

A way to see the wider picture.

Explore the change through the different Living Life Well themes so that important areas are less likely to be overlooked.

Space to explore possibilities.

Consider different options, directions and ideas before deciding what deserves more attention.

A practical way to move forward.

Break change into steps that feel manageable and appropriate for the size of what you are taking on.

A method you can adapt.

Use the workbook in a way that fits your own circumstances, whether the change is gradual, sudden, chosen or unexpected.

Do I need to read Not Done Yet first?

No.

Reinvent & Renew can be used on its own. Not Done Yet introduces the whole Living Life Well Model and all three paths; this workbook takes the Reinvent & Renew path and gives you a practical way to work with change, whether it is something you have chosen or something life has brought to you.

If this is where you recognise yourself, you can start here.
